You can listen to the soundtrack here.
The opening track of the album, Sara Pyaar Hai Bekaar, falls right in the league of songs like Love, Sex Aur Dhokha and Chak De Phatte, courtesy its flippant Punjabi lyrics and arrangement, and Kailash Kher on the vocals. Composer Manish J Tipu manages to fight off the déjà vu feel to make the short song an entertaining affair. There is also Neha Dhupia doing a cameo in the form of a whacky intro of her character. A second version has Richa Sharma joining the two in the latter half. A third remix version also engages. The only other song in the movie involving vocals, Amrikwa Ne Loot Liya, is sung by the composer himself. The song with its techno-folk arrangement works quite well, and is helped on its way by some pretty amusing lyrics and a good job on the vocals by Manish.
Rest of the soundtrack is made up of five instrumental tracks, two of which (Welcome To The Gang, Run For Ransom) are quite situational in nature and don’t make much sense as audio tracks. But the other three make for a good listen — Returning Home for its serene acoustic guitar, Yes We Can for the fantastic rock-orchestral crescendo and American Meltdown for the haunting piano.
A short and promising debut from Manish J Tipu. Looking forward to more from him.
