While Andy Murray stands just two steps away from making history at the All England Club (Its a different matter that one of those steps would be Federer!!), a Scottish band, Rock, Salt and Nails, based in Shetland, has released a song dedicated to the No.3 seed. The song titled Volley Highway was released to coincide with the tournament. Well the timing couldn’t have been more perfect looking at the way Murray has performed all through the tourney.
Rock, Salt and Nails, a Celtic fusion band, was established in 1992 and is comprised of Paul Johnston on vocals and lead guitar, Linda Irvine on fiddle, Fiona Johnston on keyboards, bassist John Clark and Ryan Martin on drums. True to their genre, Volley Highway has a characteristic Celt feel, especially owing to the fiddle playing all through the song.
Below is the video of the song. And below that is another nice Celt-blues number from the band.
