SuperHeavy’s Satyameva Jayate: Review
The A R Rahman-Jagger supergroup Superheavy‘s second track Satyameva Jayate was out on the net yesterday (Thanks a lot to @sproxxxx for the pointer). Not sure if it is legally out though. I have been seeing 30 sec promos on official channels while there are full versions available elsewhere. Anyways coming to the song, this one seems to be Rahman’s handiwork, given the hindi lyrics and the fact that he leads the vocals. Groovy track, and definitely better than Miracle Worker. But I am not sure if it is my setting the bars a bit too high, even this song doesn’t seem to possess the class that a supergroup of such stature ought to. Yes, there are interesting fusion portions and all that, but overall, there is nothing very memorable about this song, only a matter of time before it gets lost in the crowd. In any case, for now you can listen to the song promo here.
